Seeds preview

Saturday, July 26th, 2008

Just the beginning of my submission for Seeds by the Trees and Hills guys. August 15th is looming, and I left my tablet back in Saratoga. Time to get kicking with the pen tool and a trackpad, eh? This’ll turn into a two-page short thing if I get it done in time. It’s all thumbnailed and everything, just needs producing.

I’m up on the edge of Lake Ontario for another week of shooting for The Brave and the Kind. Today’s been a day of rest after driving all night last night… enormous thunderstorms are coming over the lake and hitting us about every other half hour anyway, so it’s not like we’d be filming anything today anyway. I’ve got several pages of sketches to scan from the last week of filming, and I’ll probably have a bunch more by the end of this week. I’ll post a few here, the rest will go up on the film site.

Every now and then, illustrator reminds me why i love it.

Poetry is a side-effect of sleeplessness. (This post has little to do with poetry)

Working when you’re sleep-deprived is never any fun,
So I spent some time to make an Indesign speed run:

Actual elapsed time, maybe an hour or so. This is a project for a non-profit group in upstate NY.
