Still alive.

Tuesday, October 28th, 2008

I feel like I post something like “Hi, I’m not dead yet” every four or five months.

Regardless, still not dead. Moved to NYC, got an Adult Jobâ„¢, and just generally have been running around and having adventures.

I also pretty much quit playing videogames in the interest of doing more creative things with my free time. Hopefully those will show up here.

Isometrics!

Friday, August 8th, 2008

Oh man. After all this time, I finally worked out how to do isometric drawings in illustrator. There is so much potential here for awesome things, I don’t really know what to do with myself. I foresee this eating what little remaining free time I have.

Day job.

This is some of the stuff I draw when I’m not drawing cartoons.
Attitude and cheesy dropshadow optional.

Seeds preview

Saturday, July 26th, 2008

Just the beginning of my submission for Seeds by the Trees and Hills guys. August 15th is looming, and I left my tablet back in Saratoga. Time to get kicking with the pen tool and a trackpad, eh? This’ll turn into a two-page short thing if I get it done in time. It’s all thumbnailed and everything, just needs producing.

I’m up on the edge of Lake Ontario for another week of shooting for The Brave and the Kind. Today’s been a day of rest after driving all night last night… enormous thunderstorms are coming over the lake and hitting us about every other half hour anyway, so it’s not like we’d be filming anything today anyway. I’ve got several pages of sketches to scan from the last week of filming, and I’ll probably have a bunch more by the end of this week. I’ll post a few here, the rest will go up on the film site.

Every now and then, illustrator reminds me why i love it.
